WRITING

WRITING

My writing journey began as a freshman at St. Mark's School of Texas. Joining one of the most prestigious high school journalism programs in the country, my writing ability flourished. As a staff member for The ReMarker Newspaper, I wrote stories that challenged and reshaped the thoughts of our all-boys' school audience. My columns offered an unapologetically unique perspective on familiar issues. From winning national awards to inciting campus discussions, my words, combined with quotes from others, have left some kind of impact.
This work has continued collegiately—through Morehouse College's The Maroon Tiger—and even outside of educational institutions, like being published by The Dallas Examiner or Capital B Atlanta.

The column above, "An ode to the car ride," was awarded best in the nation for first-person experience by Columbia Scholastic Press Association. Click the image to read the piece.
POETRY
One of my favorite mediums of writing is poetry. From free verse personal narratives to traditional sonnets to spur of the moment pieces, click the poem on the right to read a running anthology of my edited poetry.
